Has anybody thought of this [View all]

I know it would be illegal for any party to do this, but has anybody thought of an independent fund that could pay who are below the poverty limit for people to get state IDs? I know there may be problems with this, such as making sure that people use the money to buy identification cards and the obvious one that we may occasionally be paying for the ID of a Republican "that is a risk we may have to take", but I think this would be a great way to combat the discriminatory voter ID laws that the Republicans are putting in play.
