(29,202 posts)19. I tried to get Manchin to do what he could to end the filibuster.
That was back when he was first elected to the Senate. They were just setting up, deciding what the new Senate would be like. I got back a form letter, which was a raspberry to my request. He hasn't changed any on the issue.

Manchin described the filibuster as "the holy grail of democracy" -- even if it shd be kept, that is beyond ridiculous
