"Manifest destiny" is a phrase that represents the belief in the 19th-century United States that American settlers were destined to expand westward across North America, and that this belief was both obvious and certain."

We never advanced the belief of expanding northward. If we do now, we risk becoming a province of Canada and a return to being a commonwealth nation honoring the Monarch of GB. I'd prefer that to being part of the new America.
