7. Irony alert: Tim Scott criticizes Powell for allegedly "lavish" renovation of fed offices:

Here's what Scott had to say about the renovations -- the lavishness of which apparently has been overstated and inaccurately reported:

“We can all agree that updating aging infrastructure is a legitimate need, but when senior citizens can barely afford Formica countertops, it sends the wrong message to spend public money on luxury upgrades that feel more like they belong in the Palace of Versailles than a public institution."

Okay, Tim -- please weigh in on Trump's gilding of the Oval Office since you think fancy upgrades made with the public's money sends the wrong message. Or does it only send the wrong message when its not Trump or one of his bootlickers spending the public money on BS like tearing up the Rose Garden etc etc.
