The next day the park shut down rides [View all]I really don't know or care where they lived in Ohio, but I did read Vance's book when it first came out. I don't remember all the details but I think he was one of those hillbillies (his term) whose family came from W. Va. and moved to southern Ohio. Cedar Point is about as far as you can get from southern Ohio. From Cleveland it's only about an hour and a half give or take, depending on where you live. So it was a day trip for us.
