1. The argument that the FCC should not investigate CBS *or Fox News* for how they edit interviews isn't a good one,

because Fox News, not being an over-the-air broadcaster, is not subject to having its content monitored by the FCC in the first place. The FCC chair might well agree that what Fox News did was worse... but it's also irrelevant since FN is not under their jurisdiction. But I guess the point of the letter is really to make a PR point, more than anything else.
