...that the Social Security Administration wouldn't give out that kind of info to an employer over the phone. That's what eVerify is supposed to do. At the same time, if eVerify passed them with fraudulent information, any call to the SSA probably would have as well.

The kicker is that the HR person that was supposed to do the annual validations was herself working under a fraudulent SSN and false name.
