9. LAPD just announced a warning. We live about 5 miles from the beach, but about 1 mile from the L.A. port.

I heard it was only going to be an issue with boats at marinas and ports being roughed around. I recall years ago this happened in Marina Del Rey (or thereabouts) and there was quite a bit of damage.

Hawaii is the trouble spot.
