with issues like this, businesses and investors are realizing they have less and less good data to go on. That doesn't inspire confidence to commit to plans, capital expenditures or more investing. Over the years the government's requests to gather economic data has found less and less businesses and individuals willing to take the time to report the data in sufficient quantity to get high statistical accuracy across the US economy. Now add to that the sense that maybe certain people are looking to skew already shaky data for their political ends and you get lower and lower confidence that putting $$$ at risk in business, the stock market or whatever is a good idea. We are sitting on a huge bubble in stock market overvaluation and real estate values and Trump is looking like a great big prick in more ways than one.
