You can't indict a Republican because he will be pardoned in the end anyway. Pre-pardons are the solution.

This take on it just came into my head. We know what the result will be. Why fight it? Why throw taxpayer resources - prosecutor time, court money, the costs of trial - at something that, in the end, won't stick?
