California is taking a stand for fair representation while Texas is doubling down on partisan gamesmanship. Democrats here are showing that protecting voters’ voices matters more than padding a party’s advantage. If fighting gerrymandering is “dangerous,” maybe it’s a risk worth taking to defend real democracy—unlike Texas, where the lines seem drawn more for power than people.
