Ignorance is painful.
Painful for all, not just the ignorant.
You just listed a prime example.
Trouble is, there's no easy way when you're a hardcore 'believer' and you 'trust' in the schemes of the fools and the dreamers.
When jubilant elation meets ultimate sorrow, catastrophe's joy can take 'em decades to swallow.
TLDR: You can't fix stupid.
