1. Despite it being Cruz, I don't see a big problem with this if the evidence bears it out

As long as it's not making it so pilots are DENIED any monies from anyone (other than salaries/benefits/etc if they choose 65 anyways) as a result of the retirement age being raised. I suspect that's NOT the case because I don't trust Ted Cruz. Airlines probably want to raise the age to 67 before they have to pay out pensions or some shit. It's always a scam with the GOP, they literally never do anything just for the common good.

Though I also believe we're gonna run out of pilots if we don't do something, same with ATC's. Enhancing our ability to train people, and accepting immigrants to do the job if qualified makes more sense to me than this, but if it's safe and not harmful to pilots (i.e. they want it as well), fine.
