declaration of genocide plus Israel's attempted murder of Hamas negotiators in Qatar convinced them it was time to do something. I mean, if you're trying to kill your adversary's negotiators are you really interested in reaching a peaceful settlement?

Some might even wonder if by propping up Hamas for years and maybe some other "encouragement" Bibi was hoping and expecting Hamas would eventually find the courage to launch an invasion which would give him the excuse to use his superior U.S. weaponry to wipe out the Gaza and West Bank Arab populations and grab all the land "from the river to the sea."
