39. If you think TPUSA is for free speech, you don't know TPUSA, an organization

-- aligned with the christian right and christian nationalists
-- funded by conservative donors and foundations,
-- that in the last 8 yrs has raised well over over US$85 million

-- whose donors include Home Depot co-founder Bernard Marcus, former IL Governor Bruce Rauner,
billionaire Richard Uihlein, Charles Koch and his oligarch network at Donors Trust
-- whose chief creative officer published a conspiracy theory about Barack Obama
-- whose 850 campus "club" workers are paid to register students to vote to meet a quota of at least 1,500 student per semester.

-- which supports the NRA and the use of fossil fuels,
-- which opposes political movements such as Black Lives Matter
-- which promotes the conspiracy theory of "Cultural Marxism" and says it works to "combat it" in universities
-- which calls universities "islands of totalitarianism" --

If your free speech stance is that it's okay for the above right wing funded political groups to offer children -- mere non-voting age children -- a choice from the state curricula taught by what TPUSA calls "radical leftist unions" of teaching professionals, and/or...

If you're for a child facing organization at the level of "clubs for children" -- then you are wittingly or unwittingly for the free speech paid for and used by the private Koch oligarch network funds to groom children against the very governments that provide them with public education, then

You either haven't thought this through, or don't know the ramifications of what your simple "free speech for TPUSA clubs in schools are, or if you have, then in the context of public schools, you are using the very similar defense of "free speech" that oligarchs used to win Citizens United -- the SCOTUS ruling that "money is free speech" -- which got us trump, maga, and a right wing 1% trying to privatize the whole of government.
It's the same free speech stealth project that brought Project 2025 to the U.S.

I support Democrats. And Democrats do NOT support Turning Point USA's alleged goal of "free speech" that promotes the goals of right wing oligarchs.

I'm pretty distrusting of any Democrat who, by now, hasn't figured out what Democratic Socialist Bernie has told millions of us time and again:

-- that the Right's free speech is all of a piece -- divisive, in order to establish minority dominance by the 1%,
-- that Right Wing oligarch's "Free speech" projects are both a) cover for right wing hate speech and
b) the promotion of privatization against "socialist" government, legal under the First Amendment; and lastly,
-- that what is legal right isn't always right.
