It seems to me if you record an automated furlough message that the department, etc., should not be able to delete it and replace it with a partisan message of its own. We do give up, or at least amend, a few of our rights and liberties when working for the government, but this seems like a blatant erasure of 1st Amendment rights. But I'm not a lawyer, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn last night... ;0
