All 23 members of the Democratic Attorneys General Association (22 states + DC)
3 Democratic Governors (Kansas, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania -- states with Republican AGs)
The trumpublicans lied.
Lie 1: They claimed they wanted to pay the benefits
Lie 2: They claimed it would be illegal to pay the benefits.
Lie 3: They claims their "hands were tied"
Lie 4: They blamed the Democrats.
Democrats sued and WON.
Democrats fought for SNAP
Democrats won
All the Republican lies have been exposed.
If they had wanted to pay the benefits, the minute Judge Indira Talwani found that it was likely illegal to withhold the payments, and found all the grounds to injoin the Administration to pay the benefits, they would have immediately taken action to pay. They didn't. If they wanted to pay, the minute a second judge, Judge John J. McConnell Jr., issued his order to make payment from the contingency funds, they would have taken action to pay. They didn't.
They are NOT acting. We only have a vague statement from Trump that he has asked his lawyers to seek guidance from the judges.
The guidance in the orders is CRYSTAL CLEAR. The pretense that there is some "question" is complete bullshit.
If they wanted to pay, they would have. They have not.
But, I seriously doubt they are going to appeal and prove how hellbent they are on starving people.
They will pay the benefits.
Democrats are fighting for Americans.
The Trumpublicans terrorized Americans with their lies and tried to blame Democrats.
Democrats stepped in and set the record straight.
