6. Gun rights discussions seem to always devolve.

Gun owners seem to oppose any regulation of guns, while gun violence opponents seem to want to outlaw all guns not intended for game hunting. Both resort to nitpicking the second amendment, which is vague to the point of meaninglessness. I don't think it is necessary to make it easier to get your hands on an illegal gun, nor on a silencer, a bump stock or any other accoutrement that makes guns more deadly.
