3. I'd be interested in seeing what Mr Mamdani gave up.

Present narratives all seem to assume that Mr Mamdani took advantage of an incompetent DJT, but I wonder what went on behind closed doors. This eerily reminds me of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, in which both sides were faithless, but confused the hell out of their followers.
