Younger Americans leaving the US and setting up shop in other countries. They are granted ‘cyber work visa’s” or some such thing. They like the idea of traveling and experiencing other cultures instead of setting up deep roots here in the states where everything is so much more expensive. Their work is all online and there are countries that are very friendly to this.

My British husband’s son is a well paid programmer for telecom companies (Nokia I think). Spent lots of time in Southeast asia and just programmed and paid his way. He also hung out in Australia with his girl friend while programming working remotely.

So, although they are hailing from South America or Eastern Europe or wherever, they might still be actual Americans.
But, I know there are also plenty of trolls abroad who are heavily influencing us here in the states.
