Examine explanations of benefits
discounts, credits, acceptance of payment as paid in full that are a percentage of charges.
Yes, the insurance companies as well as pharmacy benefit managers cause opacity and, imo, chaos resulting in profit. The stupidity is that giving money back to the people doesnt trigger reduced costs. Imo, the only solution is single payer at best or something like Canadas system at worst.
