"allied voting rights cases in Texas and Louisiana could wipe out nearly a third of the 62-member Congressional Black Caucus" are ridiculous and possibly do more harm than good.

It's good to bring attention to the issue that the CBC could lose members due to redistricting. But to use scare tactics and claim the danger is far worse than it actually is makes me wonder why they feel the need to exaggerate.

For the record, the 4 Republican states who have redistricted (Texas, Ohio, NC Missouri) targeted only 4 districts currently held by CBC members. So even if everything goes according to Republican plans, the CBC would lose 4 seats, not 20 (And that doesn't account for seats that could be gained in California, Virginia and elsewhere).
