2. A renegade court is dangerous.

It sure would have been nice if Democrats, when we had the power to do it back in 2020, had listened to some of those on the more progressive side of the party, and voted to amend the judiciary act to create five new Supreme Court seats in order to pack the court, neutralize the criminal extremist element, and avoid all this grief now. It would have required the risky, but bold move of getting rid of the filibuster, but it would have ultimately resulted in the overturning of citizens united, and the reinstating of Roe, which would have changed all of these draconian rulings. It would also have expidited Trump's trials for all of those indictments surrounding the insurrection and stealing classified documents.

But that's the kind of visionary thinking that comes from politicians whose boldness leads them to take risks for their constituents, rather than preserving the status quo. I don't think we have that in this country any more.
