1. I work for a large Healthcare company and our Townhall discussed the impacts on everyone

Several nearby hospitals have already had to do layoffs, and we'll probably follow suit. The tariffs are hurting as well. Several big equipment purchases are either put off or are almost double the costs, which affects the bottom line as well.

I do not for a minute think Trump doesn't know that tariffs are a tax on everyone; I think he simply doesn't care. It's a way to pay for the tax cuts for the rich.

That being said, the impact is going to hurt far more than just Americans' pocketbooks. Losses in jobs mean whatever money Trump's tariffs bring into the US Treasury will be wiped away by the loss of tax revenue. ERs will be strained beyond what they can possibly handle, thus people dying. Seniors thrown out of nursing homes. Homelessness will increase.

It's terrifying. The Democrats had better win in the midterms as well as the Presidency, otherwise Trump and the GOP will make Hoover and the Great Depression look like nothing in comparison.
