The "justice" in the U.S. works on two levels.
Wilhoit's Law

Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit:
There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.
There is nothing more or else to it, and there never has been, in any place or time.
For millennia, conservatism had no name, because no other model of polity had ever been proposed. The king can do no wrong. In practice, this immunity was always extended to the kings friends, however fungible a group they might have been.
This is blatantly evident in the protection of pedos and the prosecution of immigrants.
Oligarchs must be protected.
They have divine right, Droit du seigneur. They are allowed to f*ck anyone they want without consequence.
The poor are "sinners". The rich, powerful, and holders of blackmailable evidence are saints.

All the delay is, IMO, due to DOJ using the AI machine to alter every single document, producing what's no more incriminating to the oligarchs than last month's losing betting slip or lottery ticket.
That's why Mikey created the delay.
How does a Trump, so up to his eyeballs in Epstein camaraderie, protect those business tycoons, princes, politicians and who knows what else without incriminating himself? Well, that's the GOP dilemma. They will do everything they can to weasel out of it.
Donald apparently met his latest bride courtesy of Epstein. "Never heard of the guy"
Droit du seigneur.
