4. DeSantis is like a James Bond Villain. Smart, but evil to the core.

He has no confining ethics, morals, respect for law nor an appreciation of Democracy. He is one of the most power-hungry men in the nation, and there are no limits to where he will go to attain more power; no one he would be unwilling to destroy on his journey. He has turned Florida into a MAGA Republic where he, and he alone calls all of the shots. What Ron wants, Ron gets. The man is capable, if endowed with more power, of causing great harm to America and Americans. The only thing standing in his way is that he is the human equivalent of AI, it is hard to find some human quality to love in the man; unless of course, it is his charming smile.

DeSantis has not taken the obvious course of dropping out of this race, because he believes that Trump will become unable to regain the White House. He still believes that he has the far-right credentials to become a political Phoenix. (He may be right) When he finally admits failure in his quest for the White House, this time, it will be interesting to see which Florida Senate seat he will challenge, and whether Floridians have had enough of his style of "leadership" and sends him to the showers. As a civilian, I can see him in the role of a CEO in a corporation involved in the development of chemical and biological weapons...

DeSantis is only 45 years old, he has the advantage of time on his side. Defeat in this election cycle will not put him on ice.
