By the time we had read and discussed this this book in class, it had changed my views of the world. One of the best lessons I had in high school. I was 15 years old. Side note: My parents did not storm the school demanding that the book be banned. My Mother read the book at home and she and I talked about it at home as we followed the school discussions.
