3. I agree that his speakership is in immediate danger, but he's attempting to play both sides

Yesterday there was news coverage of historical precedents of Republicans and Democrats coming together to avert a shutdown, birth sides getting something they wanted, but McCarthy hasn't the experience or the ability to achieve any compromise.
