In 1975, I worked with this guy that turned me on to the Grateful Dead... [View all]

He was about 10 years older than me. Tall, good looking guy. He took me under his wing, and he hired me at my next two jobs as he progressed in his career. We became good friends, despite our age difference.

When he moved out of town, I remember that I went and visited him and his wife for a few days.

He was a cool cat. He died at age 51 in the early 2000s.

Anyway, he was at the below linked 1971 Dead show, and he used to rave about it.

I miss you Pete. Those were the days.

I pride myself on the fact that I have made friends with people my whole life, who were either older, younger, or different than me.
