That goes for protection against both tetanus and diphtheria, the other disease that the Td booster protects against.”

Good thing is - tetanus is a very rare disease now - you might have one chance in 300 million of getting tetanus. According to WHO tetanus charts, in 2018 an 2019 there were no deaths from tetanus in US. Most other years - 5 to 15 cases. Most of us no longer live on farms so we are not stepping on a nail with horse manure on it.
