1. I heard a different version of this joke a while back.

In that version, the woman called the apartment manager to complain about the noise & shaking every time a train went by, which was quite often.
When the manager came to her door, she invited him in and suggested that he wait in the closet for the next train to come by.
Then the husband came home, opened the closet, and was shocked to see the manager inside.
"What the hell are you doing in my closet?" the husband shouted.
The manager replied, "I'm waiting for a train."
