I cut off all contact with a life-long friend, but tbh, that was long overdue. He was an obnoxious drunk who phoned and emailed really nasty attacks on my family and me, then he'd apologize, then do it again. After Trump came along this supposed paragon of progressive virtue really lost it and became openly racist, sexist, homophobic, etc. The day he defended the J6ers was my last straw. It's been nice not having that toxicity in my life.

However. I'll never feel the same way about some relatives since they became Trumpsters and that is sad. Makes family get togethers awkward.
