Seeing that one person survived the plane crash in India reminded me of the movie Fearless. [View all]

Does anyone remember it? Peter Weir directs, and Jeff Bridges and Rosie Perez star as two survivors (him completely unscathed) of plane crash that kills or severely injures almost everyone else on board. They form an intense relationship that outsiders, including Bridges’ wife played by Isabella Rossellini, can neither understand nor penetrate. I believe it is the only movie I have ever seen that moves me to full on tears vs “getting misty” (saw it in theater, and twice more in Netflix’s physical media era.)

And I wonder how the man that survived the recent crash will carry this the rest of his life.

Anyway, thought I’d see if anyone else remembers it, appreciates it, reacts the same way I do, etc.
