One of the best movie meditations on the human condition that I can personally recall. And in looking up the movie after I posted, Perez was nominated for Best Supporting that year, so yeah, she really does shine. And for anyone reading who might now be curious, Weir also directed Witness, Picnic at Hanging Rock, The Truman Show, Gallipoli, and Dead Poets Society, among others.
