5. Several years ago I met an older British man who was hosting a yard sale. He had a distinct Liverpool accent and,

being a diehard Beatlemaniac from the Ed Sullivan Show on, we struck up a conversation about them. He was just a young lad back in the day, but he remembered them playing all kinds of different places. He told me about their first "official" appearance which was in an auditorium somewhere and didn't have much interest from the locals. A relative of his got tickets and asked him to go, but he told her had better things to do. LOL. Can you imagine??
