2. Big fan of book/movie "In Cold Blood." Driving across country solo in 1980 went through Kansas taking backroads.

I swear to gawd, I saw two guys hitchhiking who looked just like killers Perry Smith and Richard Hickock, rolled up jeans, ducktail haircuts, etc. Still haunts me. Watched them in mirror after passing for what seemed like miles on those straight roads.

I’m sure there are rational explanations, since I knew the story well. But damn. Saw a Civil War soldier as I hiked a battlefield, wasn’t a re-enacter and I was sober both times.
