I took my foster kitten back today [View all]

It was time for her to be adopted. I've had her since she was a little tyke about 5 weeks old and hiding behind a stuffed toy dragon. Now she's a big girl about 3 1/2 months old, spayed and healthy, rambunctious and goofy. She has her druthers--doesn't like to be cuddled, loves her silvervine sticks and rattle mice but otherwise prefers anything that isn't a toy, and would much rather sit beside you than on your lap. She has never developed much of a meow, just kind of a squeak, but has a great purr. They put her in a kennel in the front of the adoptable room, and every time I went by there she looked at me like I had betrayed her, and when I went in to see her she wouldn't let me pet her. I hope she gets adopted soon! I feel terrible.
