YAY! I don't have cancer. [View all]

I had my yearly mammogram about a month ago and they found something "suspicious." Now, there's been something "sketchy" in one of them since my mid-20s that turned out to be nothing so I never thought anything about it. This time it was the other one. I got a couple of letters telling me I'd better get it checked out ASAP but I'd already made the appointment for tomography and ultrasound. Still, they were unnerving.

So, for the last month, I've been stressing about it. I had the appointments for the tests today. The tech doing the ultrasound was somber and spent a lot of time on the test. Then she soberly told me that a radiologist would come in to discuss the "next steps, if any." So I'm sitting there, wondering if I should start making arrangements for the care of my cats, etc. Five minutes later she comes in all nonchalant, saying, "Meh, it's nothing. You're good until next year." It was blah blah blah and I'll show you to the exit. Have a great day!

Huh. There was a cloud over practically the entire month of October (which is my favorite month) for nothing?

And I'm not even mad about it.

Whew!
