3. The art is fantastic and the story is amazing

It’s really incredible art and I’m so glad it has survived. Especially with so much fragile paper. The photo of the pile of papers with chewed edges and water damage is really scary. How much wonderful art is neglected and forgotten, or never to be seen? What if the new house owners had just thrown it all away?

I’ve always felt very strongly that the art we see in museums and art books is just a fraction of the art we know about. Real and meaningful art that is put away in attics and drawers. Art that is truly great art. Forgotten, and maybe destroyed from neglect.

Thanks so much for posting this!
