this from ArtsATL

https://www.artsatl.org/drummer-yonrico-scott-of-the-derek-trucks-band-dies-at-the-age-of-63/

and this very moving tribute on Mike Zito's blog:

https://www.bluesmaninrecovery.com/2019/09/yonrico-scott.html

Mike explains there that Yonrico's plans for the 2018 tour changed suddenly, because of his health. When he was feeling better in 2019, he joined Mike and other musicians for four Allman Anthology concerts, with Mike picking him up at the airport and taking care of everything so Yonrico could just relax and play.

They'd made plans, just a couple of weeks before Yonrico's death, for an album:

We had decided that Yonrico would sign a recording contract with my record label "Gulf Coast Records" and I would come to Atlanta in November to produce the recording. He was very excited about making this record - he wanted to finally make his own Blues record. He was going to educate us all by going through all of the African drumbeats that later became the shuffles and stomps in our western Blues culture. It was going to be a fantastic record, and I was so excited to be working with my friend again

Mike was at Dockside Studios in Louisiana, where he'd first met Yonrico in 2011, when he got the news of his friend's death.

I thought you might want to read these tributes, if you hadn't seen them already.
