3. This Came Out In '78

That was 2 years after I added guitar to my skillset.
I was utterly compelled to learn this tune, especially the solos. (I didn't do them then, like I could do them now.)
So did nearly every guitar player I knew. The sound & technique were so unique.
Later, this solo (the middle of the song) became required learning for every guitar student I ever had. I wouldn't show them what they wanted to learn, until they could play a passable version of Sultans. There so much to learn on this & it's a very musical solo.
My wife & I saw them on the Communique tour. By shear luck, we had 6th row center seats. We were under 25' from where Mark stood to sing! We both loved the show.
