A surprising live cover of "Oh Well" by Haim. [View all]

I say surprising because I'm late to this party. I'd heard of the Haim sisters but figured they were just another girl group - pretty face singers with a crew of dancers working behind them. Entertaining but not something that gets my ear. Then I read about them in the new Rolling Stone and looked them up. Sure, they do a lot of soft sing song melodies, but this live cover shows off their mastery playing the implements of rock & roll.

Oh Well by Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac has a special place in my heart as one of the 1st 45s I bought. As a 16 year old aspiring hippie during the summer of '69, I wandered into a downtown head shop and asked the long haired freak behind the counter what was a new good record. He took my 79ȼ and sent me home with Oh Well Pt 1 & 2 and it changed me. Oddly enough, the song never appeared on any of Mac's original albums, but oh well.

This is a well produced video from the "T in The Park festival".
Turn it up.
