the psychedelic woven into the blues on that particular song. The rest of the album is good as well for much of the same reason. This stuff is not intended to be the equivalent of Pop song production coming in at under 3 minutes for radio play. It is as the album title says. CJ and the Fish were able to play long extensive live psychedelic sets like "Donovan's Reef Jam" and seamlessly weave in and out of segments in the jam that, if you close your eyes and let yourself drift with it, has points where you're wondering how you got there but then it moves to another and another and then maybe comes back around. Playing with interplay and interpretation like jazz does.

Psychedelic, distortion guitar, rock influences into blues, psychedelic blues etc. are not liked by everybody and that's fine. Not everybody likes Basie, Sinatra, Miles, Beethoven, Doo Wop, Latin, Reggae etc. either. I happen to like it all and appreciate the genres and those who do them well.
