2. My set up is real simple

A midi keyboard And old Yamaha s80 which I use for audio keys. Lots of other audio of course. I like to mic amps

So midi is not central to me. All my drum patches are through logic
I like it even though many don't like the ultra beat interface

Here's hoping they don't ignore this small but vital area of their business I think logic has created a lot of goodwill because its not seen as overly complicated

As to everything sounding the same, I put that on the unimaginative musician and corporate music, not the technology per se.
I have used the technology to come up with good sounds I could not otherwise

As to the compression and loss fidelity , man that's a battle that we lost some time ago. I dislike the way my stuff sounds on spotify particularly
Save a needle , turntable and clean vinyl for your grand kids. Then they will know what music used to sound like
