brushes in lieu of the mallets and they seem to be what I wanted. They are adjustable and work on my congas, bongo and cajon. So when I'm not using my fingertips or palm I can use the brushes...Of course they sound a little different from my hands but they sound good to me...As my left hand fingers are still cracked (from a fall in Jan), that hand is not as effective on the drums. I can use it without pain but it's not the same...so, brushes it will be...Cheers
