And a lot of fun to look at. So I’m really, really jealous; real strawberries from the garden. Oh, man I can almost taste those little chunks of perfection. It’s been at least 10 years, but probably more like 15 or 20 since I’ve tasted garden grown strawberries. My birthday is early in June and I always asked for “real” strawberries. After California got into the act those little guys became hard to find except at farmers markets. I lived in SE Michigan where the soil seemed to be perfect for the taste. I suspect that little strawberries just became too labor intensive for a profit. I live in Florida now and all they grow are the huge fat ones. Every now and then I give in and buy a box. Not even close to the little ones. I can almost taste them looking at your photo. Hmmm. Enjoy!
