Arkansas State Police confirm 2 people dead, 6 injured including one officer in Fordyce Mad Butcher grocery store shooting; shooter in custody


FORDYCE, Ark. – Arkansas State Police confirmed a Friday mass shooting at a Fordyce grocery store left two people dead and six injured including a law enforcement officer.

ASP officials said the shooter was shot by law enforcement and taken into custody.

Several agencies including the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office and Arkansas State Police Department are on the scene near the Mad Butcher located on West 4th Street in Dallas County.

The Fordyce Mad Butcher is located in Dallas County near a Dollar General, Family Dollar and a Tractor Supply Co.
