JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — With the potential loss of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits in November due to the federal government shutdown, Gov. Mike Kehoe has announced steps his administration is taking to expedite food assistance for at-risk Missourians.

The Missouri Department of Social Services stands ready to issue SNAP benefits as soon as possible once the federal government is reopened.
