ATLANTA - Atlanta attorney Tex McIver has been found guilty of murdering his wife, Diane, in 2016.

Jurors deliberated for four days before returning with a verdict Monday afternoon.

The decision came hours after the jury said they were deadlocked. They told the judge they could not come to a unanimous decision on four of the five charges. The judge sent them back around 2 p.m., telling the jurors to keep deliberating. They returned just 2 hours later with a guilty verdict on four of five charges.

It's been all over the news. I didn't pay too close attention but it seemed odd to me that he would have a gun out in the back of a moving vehicle. Carrying a gun with him? Ok, I can see that. But falling asleep and having it go off accidentally is another matter.
