it would open up her Senate seat. OK, Branstad is a GOPer and she isn't due to run again until 2020, so maybe not all good.

But still ....

We just have to work very hard to ensure that it is Hillary, NOT Don the Con, who is elected in November. In that case, Ernst will have been successfully retired from elective politics for a while if she is his running mate.
